Attorney/ Founding Partner
Taylor Haeuser is a founding partner of Heart of Texas Legal Group. As both a former prosecutor for the State of Texas and a current criminal defense attorney, Taylor brings a balanced perspective to both criminal and family law cases. No matter the case, Taylor relies on her thousands of hours of courtroom experience in front of both judges and juries to get the best outcome for her clients possible.
Born in El Reno, Oklahoma (the place where Twisters was filmed), Taylor attended Oklahoma State University to study Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources where she majored in Agricultural Communications and minored in both Agricultural Economics and English. She was also a member of the Cowboy Marching Band, Alpha Zeta agricultural fraternity, and a Kappa Delta alumna. After graduating magna cum laude with an Honors degree in 2016, she crossed the Red River and enrolled in Baylor University School of Law where she was the president of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. She secured her law degree in 2018, was licensed with the Texas State Bar in 2019, and made Waco her permanent home.
Taylor’s biggest claim to fame is her ability to have a diverse set of skills and interests. She can play both trumpet and French horn, she is a best-selling romance and romantasy author (you may recognize her from BookTok), she bakes, is proficient in digital illustration, will never be without Canva Pro, and designed this website and typed the words you’re currently reading. Hello, friend! :)
She is a life-long Christian and a member of Austin Avenue Methodist Church. Taylor and her husband are currently raising three kids, including a set of twins. Though she is a pit bull in the courtroom, she never takes off her “Mom” hat and approaches her cases the same way. She will ask your ex your children’s shoe sizes and when they last checked Parent Square, and will hold them accountable for every “I don’t know.” Fun fact, Taylor once tallied a parent’s “I don’t know” answers when they were asked basic questions about their child. The grand total was 126.
When not in court, you will see her actively wrangling her three kids in the middle of Target with a Baja Blast in-hand.
